According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), almost 20 million vehicles were recalled in the US from January 1 to August 30, 2024, extending a high-volume trend in recent quarters in the number of vehicles affected by recalls in the automotive industry.
